O'hare is the title of my collaboration with Martin Sulzer
and Iron Curtis.
Out of very basic ingredients, namely adhesive tape, foil and light, I created illustrations of transparent jellyfish, which video and animation artist Martin Sulzer then brought to life by animating them using various techniques ( 2D, 2 ½ D, 3D). Our common friend Johannes Paluka, better known under his artist name Iron Curtis, is the one who then finally makes the jellyfish spin. His track O'Hare – which gave the video its title – fits perfectly to the fragile but also powerful aesthetic of the video. O'Hare will be featured on Iron Curtis' forthoming album which is to be released on Mirau in mid 2012.

Ouch!
You wouldn't expect images of breaking necks, exploding heads ... in
the customer magazine of a luxury and sports cars maker. But that's exactly what Art Director Simon Jasper Philipp of Philipp & Keuntje
asked me to illustrate for the Lamborghini magazine:

And here is a short article on PAGE online about it.

Party Catani - Lowfistication
Finally out!
Patric Catani's idea for the artwork of this concept album, including
cavemen-like party people in a post-apocalyptic scenery was
transeferred into the depiction of some techno-shamanistic objects
by me ... plus I just had to paint his four amazing alter egos occuring
on Lowfistication for an extra poster!
A snippet from the press info: We are proud to present “Lowfistication”! An album so full of fun that we had to re-name him yet again - Yes, this is Party Catani! Better get moving now!
This album packs all the fun from your best-drunken nights with friends, your slightly vague memories that smell like cigarettes and beer that give you a headache the next day - a megawhopper of an album.
The CD is released on Jason Forrest's Cock Rock Disco
and distributed by Edition Stora, get it here.

Sittig / Gesänge
As with the posters announicng the lectures he held within
the last few years, I helped artist Dominik Sittig to design
a pocket size book of 112 pages gathering these lectures.
To accentuate Dominik Sittig's often exalted and drastic
diction graphically, the whole text in Die Gesänge des Gedärms
is interspersed with countless carefully letter-spaced words and
sentences etc., reminiscent to the typography you'll find in books
by Nietzsche or the like.
The whole design of the book in fact is based on an early version
of the popular and classic booklets by Reclam, as Dominik Sittig's
publications always refer to certain (bygone) layouts and styles.
The book is published by Textem Verlag, Hamburg.
